The training center “Prashiksana Matha” and the College of Neohumanist Studies are sister institutes for preparing students for social service and disaster relief in the world, based on principles of neohumanism and spiritual lifestyle. “Prashiksana Matha” was founded in 1976 in Ydrefors, Sweden.
The starting point for “Ananda Marga” in the world. The place where the active spread of “Ananda Marga” began outside of India. Over 550 monks and nuns from around the world have graduated from “Prashiksana matha”.
They are currently serving in different capacities: provide assistance during disasters, start schools and educational centers in developing countries, manage farms and sustainable projects, and provide free education in yogic methods and meditation.
Comprehensive training
Ananda Marga acharyas are trained in the philosophy of neo-humanist education, and the acharyas receive a regular orientation in the latest pedagogical developments through regular conferences, seminars, workshops, and retreats, led by dedicated scholars and experienced practitioners.
The rich library of the institute also provides ample opportunity to indulge in reading-related materials.
During one-year trainees pass such topics as Yogic Ethics, Neohumanist Education, Yoga Bio-psychology & Anatomy, Meditation Research, Languages, Prabhat Samgiita, Yogic Treatments, PROUT, Spiritual Philosophy, Humanitarian Projects Management. Five acharyas and six speakers lead the courses.
